Matthew Burgess, a seasoned Franklin Madison employee with 19 years of experience in member services, recently competed in his first-ever Music City Corporate Challenge presented by Lifepoint Health event. Members of Franklin Madison competed in a bowling competition at Tusculum Lanes in Nashville.

Reflecting on his bowling experience with his coworkers, Burgess said, "This is my first time ever competing in a Corporate Challenge event, and it was great. I had a great time."

Supporting Special Olympics Tennessee is meaningful to Burgess. An organization he described as “beautiful."

Burgess expressed his excitement about participating: “Once I heard about Corporate Challenge, I was like, hey, I need to do this!"

Burgess also emphasized the broader significance of community service events.

"It is important to get everyone involved supporting something like Special Olympics," said Burgess. "When the company started telling us about it, I realized everybody needed to get behind it."

Additionally, Burgess noted the positive effects of such events on company culture.

“Events like this make it great because you can do stuff after work, and it improves the camaraderie between you and your coworkers,” said Burgess.
