Logan VanSickle from the Nashville Predators recently competed in the 2024 Music City Corporate Challenge presented by Lifepoint Health at Lipscomb University. His team’s efforts in pickleball earned them a gold medal in the Division 2 bracket.
VanSickle, Ticket Operations Coordinator for The Nashville Predators and Bridgestone Arena, has been with the organization for three years and is no rookie to Corporate Challenge. Having previously competed in dodgeball twice, this was his first time competing in pickleball.
“When Special Olympics added pickleball, we jumped at the opportunity to play it,” said VanSickle.
“Playing with coworkers is awesome,” said VanSickle. “We actually have pickleball practices at Bridgestone [Arena]. Pickleball has been a part of our culture even before this event, but it's really cool to play it in a setting like this.”
The Nashville Predators are no strangers to community involvement, having participated in the Corporate Challenge since its inception.
“Special Olympics is great," said VanSickle. "Our Nashville Predators Foundation works closely with Special Olympics, and we love being a part of it."
VanSickle believes service is a crucial part of being a community.
"Community service is so important because all you have is your community," said VanSickle. "Everybody has to love their neighbor and look out for each other. We complete 40 hours of community service as part of our employment each year. Service is really important to the Nashville Predators."
