Knowledgeable and compassionate health care professionals are the cornerstone of robust health systems and communities. Special Olympics Tennessee works closely with current and future healthcare providers in the attempt to improve the healthcare landscape (and health outcomes) for people with intellectual disabilities. Opportunities such as Healthy Athlete screening volunteerism and other continuing education sessions are offered to provide providers with ample opportunities to strengthen their competencies in working with this diverse population.
Contact Natalee Kamau, Manager of Health and Fitness, at nkamau@specialolympicstn.org if you are interested in Healthy Athletes volunteering, would like to learn about continuing education opportunities, or would be interested to serve as a Clinical Director.
